Renewing our focus on environmental sustainability

April 22, 2022

As an organization with a continuous improvement mindset focused on increasing efficiency and eliminating waste, environmental sustainability has always been a key component of our culture. Most importantly, we understand the impact that environmental sustainability has on improving the quality of life for our associates, customers and stakeholders.

Sustainability is an ongoing journey made up of many small steps and initiatives that build over time to make a bigger impact, and our team members around the world have been actively engaged in a variety of activities for years.

Last year, a group of our leaders from all functions and locations conducted a project to examine our efforts and determine a clear path moving forward to guide our sustainability strategies and decisions. By focusing our efforts to these four main areas we can have a bigger impact. They include:

  • Focusing on reducing, reusing and recycling activities
  • Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions
  • Empowering our people to make a difference in sustainability initiatives
  • Working with customers and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that drive our sustainability goals

To ensure internal alignment we also expanded our core values to emphasize this renewed focus on environmental sustainability.
