Overseas Processing Information

1. About This Information

Hyperion Materials & Technologies and its affiliated operations (collectively, “Hyperion”) operate globally and use shared customer relationship management and related business systems. If you submit personal information through Hyperion’s Mainland China website, that information may be transferred to, stored outside Mainland China, or accessed from outside Mainland China by the overseas Hyperion recipients identified below.

This page provides information about that overseas processing. It should be read together with Hyperion’s Privacy Notice and the notice presented with the relevant website form.

2. Personal Information Transferred Overseas

Depending on the form you use and the information you choose to provide, the personal information transferred or made accessible overseas may include:

• name;
• employer or organization;
• job title or business function;
• business email address and business telephone number;
• country or region;
• product, service or technology interests;
• the content of your inquiry, request or correspondence; and
• other information you voluntarily provide through the relevant business form.

Please do not provide sensitive personal information through an ordinary business inquiry form unless Hyperion specifically requests it for a defined purpose.

3. Purposes of Overseas Processing

The overseas recipients may process the information for purposes reasonably related to your interaction with Hyperion, including:

• responding to your inquiry or request;
• providing requested product, service or technical information;
• preparing quotations, proposals or related commercial communications;
• managing prospective and existing customer relationships;
• providing products, services or technical support;
• routing your inquiry to the appropriate Hyperion location or personnel; and
• administering Hyperion’s global customer relationship management and related business systems.

4. Methods of Overseas Processing

Personal information may be transmitted, received, stored, accessed, retrieved, viewed, used, organized, maintained and otherwise processed through Hyperion’s global customer relationship management system and related information technology and business systems. Access is intended to be limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a business need or other authorized purpose.

5. Overseas Hyperion Recipients

The following Hyperion entities and operating locations outside Mainland China may be authorized to receive or access personal information submitted through Hyperion's Mainland China website through Hyperion's global systems. Recipients are listed by country or region for ease of reference. The list may be updated when Hyperion's corporate structure, locations or system-access arrangements change.

Mainland China entities or locations are not included in the table above because this page identifies recipients outside Mainland China.

6. Contact and Exercise of Your Rights

You may have rights under applicable Chinese personal information protection law concerning personal information processed by the overseas recipients, including rights to obtain information about processing, access or obtain a copy of personal information, request correction or supplementation, request deletion where applicable, restrict or refuse certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Hyperion will coordinate the request with the relevant overseas recipient(s) and may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and process the request. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

7. Separate Consent for Overseas Processing

Where applicable Chinese law requires separate consent for the overseas provision of personal information, Hyperion will request that consent separately at the relevant point of collection. Consent to overseas processing is not combined with optional consent to receive marketing communications.

8. Changes to This Information

Hyperion may update this page to reflect changes in its overseas recipients, systems, processing activities or applicable legal requirements. The current version will be published on the relevant Hyperion website with an updated date.
