Hyperion Grade - C3D

Hyperion Materials & Technologies manufactures cemented tungsten carbide grade C3D, the new super performance grade with never-before-seen properties for your wire drawing needs. It is an ultrafine cemented tungsten carbide in combination with special additives that maximize corrosion resistance and exhibit extreme wear resistance. Our unique sinter-HIP process guarantees outstanding quality.

 

Hyperion grade C3D was created to be your super performance solution for the following drawing processes:

  • Welding wire
  • Low and high carbon steel
  • PC strand.

 

Hyperion grade C3D prevents corrosion and wear out by:

  • Very low cobalt leaching
  • Integrity of the carbide matrix ensures the material wear resistance.

It is an ultrafine cemented tungsten carbide in combination with special additives that maximize corrosion resistance without losing toughness. Our unique sinter-HIP process guarantees outstanding quality. 

Hyperion grade 6UD was created to be your high performance solution for the following drawing processes:

  • Saw wire
  • Tire cord
  • All ultra tensile wires
  • Finest wire diameter
  • Galvanize wire (skin-pass).

Grade RS1T is the next generation of cemented tungsten carbide for stainless steel, coated, or galvanized wire. The coating layer of steel core wires can be retained until the finest wire diameter reduction, resulting in shiny and smooth surface quality. This is the best product for stainless steel, brass, and zinc coated wire.
