Cemented carbide

Hyperion's cemented carbide wear parts continue to improve the performance, increase the productivity, and prolong the lifetime of products in the metal, agriculture, aerospace, construction, and medical industries by solving the critical need for impact, corrosion, and wear resistance. The breadth of products included in our wear applications family is extensive, and we are always willing to add applications based on your unique challenges. Parts are custom-made based on your specifications and the elements to which the part is exposed.

Versimax is a silicon carbide bonded diamond composite with superior wear resistance, high strength, and high temperature performance. Versimax has hardness, strength, and toughness approaching that of cobalt-sintered polycrystalline diamond (PCD) but provides superior thermal stability. The ceramic bonded composite is impervious to most corrosives. Versimax is available in custom sizes and shapes prepared according to your specifications.


Composite diamond coating (CDC)

Hyperion cemented carbide parts offer premium wear protection independent of wear coatings; however, for those products made from steel or aluminum, we offer advanced protection through our patented composite diamond coating. CDC is a hard metal alloy with fine particles of diamond dispersed throughout the metal matrix. This coating can be applied to any shape regardless of intricacy and without line of sight.
