Fluorescent industrial diamonds filling gaps in unlikely applications

Hyperion Materials & Technologies has been producing industrial synthetic diamonds for decades. We can tailor properties to meet the needs of a customer’s specific application based on atomic level “defects” in the diamonds that can provide unique functions.

It’s been exciting to deliver a project at Hyperion that’s investigating the ability to engineer a defect into a synthetic diamond that creates fluorescence. The potential applications for fluorescent diamonds in the communications, authentication systems, biomedical and medical imaging fields seem very promising.

Supporting customers with tailored solutions that help them succeed is at the heart of what we do at Hyperion. Our expert engineers work closely with customers to design optimal diamond characteristics, such as size and color center, to maximize the value for the intended purpose.
