Gages Products

Pin Gages

Precision Solutions manufactures pin gages, also known as plug gages, in sizes from .002 inches [.127mm] to 2.511 inches [63.78mm]. Precision Solutions has the capabilities to develop pin gages for custom applications in sizes both smaller and larger than the standard. Typical plug gage materials include carbide, steel and ceramic.

Ceramic, steel, and carbide gages and masters are produced as Go, No-Go or Master in class X, XX, XXX, Y or Z. Engineers with materials science expertise offer consultation on the appropriate material selection for the defined application.

Ring Gages

Carbide inserted ring gages are manufactured in sizes from .010 inches [.254mm] to 4.011 inches [101.88mm], with in-house production capabilities to produce custom designs outside the range.

The protective outer jackets of ring gages larger than 2.00 inches [50.8mm] in diameter, previously made of steel, are now composed of a rigid nylon material that better complements carbide. The gages are lighter in weight and more stable because the outer jacket acts as an insulator to resist the transfer of heat to the carbide gaging element.

Trilock Gages

Carbide trilock gages are manufactured to standard dimensions in tolerance classes XXX, XX, X, Y and Z. Available sizes range from .725 inches [18.415m] to 2.510 inches [63.75mm], with the capabilities to produce larger sizes. Precision Solutions provides Go, No-Go and Master members based on customer needs.

Master Setting Discs

Master setting discs are available in diameters from .010 inches [.254mm] up to larger than 4.011 inches [101.88mm]. Master Setting Discs are carbide OD gages with tolerances commonly applied bilaterally.

Custom Carbide Gages

Requests for custom carbide cages can be accommodated with the fixturing and tooling produced in-house at the Precision Solutions facility in Bridgeport, Michigan. Custom gages and masters include true position or concentricity plugs and rings, gage elements, flat gages, paddle gages, ammunition gages, twin ring gages, master setting discs and rings, and gage pins.

Engineers are available to collaborate with customers to design gages to customer prints. Contact an engineer to receive a proposal on developing a made-to-print gage.
