Slurry & Suspension Considerations

The entire system needs to be considered when selecting the perfect diamond slurry or diamond suspension product for your lapping and polishing application. Here are the areas to bear in mind when making a selection.

Hyperion diamond slurry considerations

K400 Slurry

K400 is an oil-based slurry recommended for lapping. It is available in a range of diamond types, sizes, and concentrations (as well as CBN).

K285T Slurry

K285T is a water-based slurry recommended for use where exceptional cleaning is required but where petroleum contamination cannot be tolerated. It is available in a range of diamond types, sizes, and concentrations (as well as CBN).

K450 Slurry

K450 is a water-based slurry recommended for lapping and polishing. It is available in a range of diamond types, sizes, and concentrations (as well as CBN).

K1500 Suspension

K1500 is an oil-based suspension recommended for lapping and polishing. It is available in a range of diamond types, sizes, and concentrations (as well as CBN).

LDP Material

LDP is a water-/oil-based suspension recommended for use where elimination of agglomeration that can occur in submicron sized powders cannot be tolerated. It is available in a range of diamond types, sizes, and concentrations.
