Compax® Overview

Hyperion Materials & Technologies manufactures a wide range of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) products specifically designed for nonferrous and non-metallic machining (material removal) applications. PCD is micronized diamond that has been fused together under high pressure and high temperature in the presence of a catalytic metal binder. It features unrivaled hardness properties, excellent abrasion resistance, and low coefficient of friction. 

Hyperion's diamonds are created in a single, continuous manufacturing process.  Starting with the highest quality of raw materials, we use high-pressure high-temperature advanced engineering methods to manufacture diamonds with specific characteristics of strength and toughness.  State-of-the-art micronizing techniques assure the diamond micron powders have precisely defined sizes, shapes, and surface properties.

Hyperion's high quality diamond micron powders serve as a raw material to produce Compax® and Compax^2.0 PCD products. Our superior Compax PCD products are a result of unprecedented consistency and uniformity from the initial diamond source to the final product.
